I have always been amazed that the response on certain pages depending on the length of content. I have personally seen a lot bigger return on smaller posts. It seems that bigger is not always better in this aspect of advertising.

Another tip is:

Put your ads on the first fold.

Ads that are easily seen by visitors have a high possibilty that will be click.
