WHo can compete with google but I think bing is going very fast and being more competitive now . I am getting very good results from the bing too.

Google and Twitter, they are on the different arena. Common point of them is they are all dominant on their fields.

now that bing and yahoo merged, they could give google a run for their money but it will be rough.

I agree that, twitter is not search engine, it is social networking site. Google is purely search engine, they both belongs to different category, comparing them seem not right.

For me Twitter and Google are different. Twitter is a Social Networking site and you can promote your website use that Social Media. Google is a Search Engine, you can promote but you can hit your targeted keywords in that Search Engine.
