Because Wikipedia is a popular web encyclopedia. This site has huge traffic visited everyday.

Why don't you check out,encyclopedia.com,it's also very good,not the best like wikipedia,but worth watching it.

About genre music especially Rock in wikipedia is no reliable because not all content about Rock Music is true. For example Emo, emo is not for emotional nor lifestyle but Music. Sometimes they labeling Metal in non-Metal band like Slipknot. In short only 60 to 70% is reliable and accurate content in wikipedia.
