    Default Google Algorithm Change

It would appear that Google may be about to change their search ranking algorithm. Its all in an attempt to combat the malicious links appearing at the top of the search results.

Over the past months search results have been manipulated with blackhat seo. Read the full article at Google Set To Change Ranking Algorithm | WebProNews

Well I'm glad to hear it! I've never used blackhat methods on any of my sites and never shall. That was a good read Alan, I appreciate you sharing it.

Anyone care to share thoughts on the link velocity article that was linked to in that article too? That method seems grossly unfair to me on established sites that have lots of pages and sponsors that never change because they're happy with the high quality of a site. My understanding of that is that if you don't have fresh links, it counts against you.

I read the link velocty article earlier and couldn't quite get my head round this. Its clearly yet another dynamic like keyword density, proximity and prominence. Heres more work coming.
