I am new to this web developing and SEO world and that’s why I can’t understand what the role of Google indexing is. When I indexed my website, it didn’t take much time. I was happy that my Google indexing was done so fast until I found out that the search result of my site is getting different PR in different browsers. IE and Chrome showed way different results for my site’s PR. I am clueless now and I really want this to work out for me. I will be very thankful if someone can help me out with this problem.

Your website’s PR remains the same regardless of the browser being used by you. Your search rankings get influenced by many factors...one of which is Browser settings.
Make sure you are clearing your cache and cookies while checking your rankings also, For the Searching - you can make sure you always check the same way...

As bloggers the best way to do this is to write quality content that other bloggers will link to and to interact with other bloggers on their blogs (genuinely) via their comments. This is all it should really take to get indexed by Google. Of course then you have the challenge of getting to the top of the list for the keywords that you’re wanting to target.
