Google and Domain Age

Is it true that new domains can not be in top of search results for many keywords?
So why do i see some new domains which are in first page of Google's search results?

it may take time.. your domain have to gain popularity and the domain should have PR.. verify your site in google webmasters. you should promote it and then you will see results on google

mostly, the older websites has the advantage... although it may take some time it doesn't really mean that if a website is new it can't get the top search engine rankings...

The only reason new domain don't rank to the top of search engines is because it takes time to build backlinks and do SEO. This does not mean google does not give preference to new domains. Its just that old domains would already be ranked and have backlinks and or traffic.

I agree with weblover!
If any new domains site have more do follow backlinks then it can be easily beat an old domain site in few months. New domain will take time time to well rank in search engine because they don't have more backlinks compare to old domain in starting days.

New domain name can't rank for many keywords for few reasons:

1. There is saying your site will go into SandBox process before it will be release to organic result
2. If you can rank many keywords within short period of time normally this will trigger flag for spam in Google (DO NOT DO THIS)
3. I do not agree to build link take times is just that how do you build you link, do you do WHITEHAT? or BLACKHAT? (either way will get you rank but whitehat will be better for long run)

** Some people do blackhat, can get over 100.000 links in few weeks. Whitehat will take maybe 10 years to get 100.00 links uniquely unless your site is suddenly featured in all the news, media (that is different story )

Most new sites go to the Sandbox for this very reason. People will build spammy sites and use Blackhat methods to rank first page in no time. If it gets delisted they just repeat the process tomorrow. The Sandbox is Google's way of stopping(or slowing down) these practices. This helps us hard working Webmaster's that don't cheat to get good rankings.

yes that's right google not give much more importance to new domain so old domain is the best for keyword ranking in search engine.
