Hmmm.. I think I will receive no update on my site's PR for this quarter.. Anyways, it's not that important.. Targeted traffic still wins..

Yes,it is updated. But it made no change to my PR. I'm still at PR2 with my 3 year old website. I've very limited content on that blog though. About 60-70 articles. So i don't mind staying at PR2.

Helo guys,..can i ask? How's the important good PR in a one website? Or what is the important the traffic to your site or PR to your site? Which is the important to you?

Both are important equally. PR determines how you'll rank in google search results. PR brings search engine traffic to your site. So it should not be ignored. Traffic in way, increases value of your site. Be it search engine traffic because of PR or direct traffic. So concentrate on content, design of site. And PR will be increased soon as more and more people will link you.

They serve different importance to a site. PR indicates quality while traffic indicates stability.

Disagree. There are countless of PR 0 pages appearing in the homepage of search engine results page under highly competitive keywords. And there are countless sites with less PR that outranks high PR sites/pages. So how do you explain that?

Again, PR may indicate quality but it is totally not the determining factor of how a site will rank on SERP.

Further more, backlinks is one of the determining factor of how a site will rank on SERP.

Disagree. What brings traffic to a site is the site ranking itself on SERP not the PR. Site ranking and Page Rank are two different factors.

Site ranking is a site's placement/position on SERP.

PR or Page Rank is a quality measure of a site's page/webpage.

When you build backlinks (to gather links pointing to your site/site's pages from other sites) PR should not be ignored. However, you should as well check for relevancy and the type of link provided (should be dofollow.)

    *dofollow links - the absence of rel="nofollow" in the <a href></a> code/tag.

It surely does. The more traffic a site has, the more advertisers would adhere to it, the high the ROI and revenue share for the website owner.

Again, search engine traffic is the result of quality link building and site's popularity growth on the web. Traffic may be organic (from search engines - cause of high site ranking) and direct (viral - affiliates, partners and customers - who obviously have known your site and does not need to search for it using search engines)

This part is correct and I agree. A site with useful and quality content will be adhered by those who needs it and could help build natural backlinks (backlinks that are voluntary made available by affiliates, partners, followers, customers who were satisfied with the site's content, products and/or services)

Basically, the more you gather quality "dofollow" backlinks, the higher link juices you could get, the higher the PR would appear.

Sometimes, people link to a site with rel="nofollow" on the link (to avoid passing PR percentage - avoiding link juices to flow out). These kinda links are useless for site rankings however, could be useful for traffic and direct referrals.

Cheers to everyone who read this! :wink2:

Did google break the quarterly update they're doing? I just notice them updating the PR on one of my blogs back and forth.. I guess they got their sticky green bar malfunction..

Anyways, delighted to have noticed PR3 for my blogs even though I have not put in place too much update..
