Google or Yahoo?

Google and Yahoo the 2 most leading search engines.

Both with different listing methods. (Google with the software "spider" and yahoos "selective listing" )
Both with email services. (@gmail.com and @yahoo.com)
Both with millions of pages worth of searched content
Both with advertisements (Google "adsense" and yahoo "Publisher network")
Both billion dollar enterprises (Google worth estimated $50.8 billion and Yahoo worth an estimated $47.9 billion)
But which is better?

in our information technology class we actually looked in-depth at the effectiveness of Google and Yahoo's method for displaying results. I was pretty shocked when the conclusion showed the Yahoo's search engine is more accurate that Google's and provides more useful search results! The only reason why people use Google over Yahoo is because, Google is far simpler and loads extremely quickly, while Yahoo's search page contains other information too and therefore loads slower.

Google's non-personalized search page only contains the bar required in order to search, this gives visitors a reputation that the company is focusing only as a search engine, as to Yahoo which has tons of other information on their main page which the average user may not need!

For me both are very good.Yahoo is better in some aspects and google in someothers.I think,now many can't live without them.The competiiton between yahoo and google is good for general people like us.Atleast we can get improved services becasue of this competition.
But,My answer will be Yahoo,because I have a blindspot for it.

I am using both google and yahoo. Yahoo main page confuses the user where to go and loads slowly. as Google has a simple search engine page and load fast. Google search is mostly around the keywords. but yahoo search shows so many results that it's diificult to choose one of them. on the mail services I prefer gmail on yahoo mail beacause of gmail's new look and quick load. Yahoo mail is also good but it's a little slow because of heavy load of advertisements on it.

I prefer google. Because their page is easier to load and it's the google rank that determine the value of a certain website. It's as if, if you're website is not indexed in google, it doesn't exist.

Indeed, i always got the best results in google search engine! I prefer google than yahoo. and as someone said the google home page is more good and fast to load, not like yahoo, i am confused when i open the main page. in the other hand google mail is better than yahoo. with a yahoo adress, i was rejected many times in some website, offers..

I'm not sure which one lists more accurate results, but I use google because it's faster, even though my homepage is yahoo, I still use google to search.

And plus, my website is higher ranked in my google searches than when I yahoo search it

In my opinion google search is better than yahoo search. Because google home page is lighter, google mail faster than yahoo mail (I means yahoo beta). Yahoo mail give you unlimited but you never need this. Google mail is offer you 2.8gb space (enough).

I use both Google and Yahoo, but yahoo seems to like my website better :P Google PR sucks..!!!
