what's the WORST thing on the internet?

I liked the JeefO's thread about "best thing on the internet" and thought i will present the opposite point of view.

Without a doubt, internet has made an enourmous controbution to the humanity, and opened up endless opportunities, but everything has its bad side... what do u think is the worst thing internet did?

in my opinion, it is the absolutely uncontrollable promotion of violence,that u can find in enourmous amount of sites and i do not reffer only to the adult orriented pages (i dont wanna sound like an old maiden, but there should be a human limit to what some people publish). the other thing is the terrible popularity of fake companies, such as hosting, commerce and others, that in reality do not even exsist, but mislead the naive custumers and surfers by wringing their money or Credit card numbers.

The worst thing... hmmm there are so many... scammers, money laundering, child pornograpy has become alot easier to produce with the internet. A gorwing use of piracy which while some people think it si good it is actually terrible. Soon software companies may go out of business and it is completely the fault of the 30% of the population's fault because they use pirated software!

The worst thing about the internet is the production and easy sharing of virus/trojens and hacking software. Hackers are now able to find out your credit card number, if you do not know how to secure yourself well. Thats why I continue to refuse to put my credit card number on the net. Maybe one day when there is a full proof method of identification, such as fingerprint, or something, but even that wouldn't be fullproof, I suppose.

For me the worst thing about the Internet is anything that harms children. The Internet can be such an educational resource for children. However, as we all know the Internet also makes a lot of unsuitable content available to children. Also as mentioned above children are further damaged by the Internet through the provision of child porn online.

The worst thing about the internet is that stupid people have access to it. And with that comes a lot of stupid ****, including child ***** kiddy scripting, and retarded scams. People need to take an IQ test before they access the internet.

The worst thing on the internet is the microsoft website. All I can say is cheap. It could look soo much better!! Popups are also really annoying!!

It's not really the internet that's bad, but some of the people who are using it. Some people use it to take advantage of the people and cheat them and their money through various scams, while others use it to promote hate and violence. And these people are the ones that are giving internet the bad name.

I also hate spam and pop ups, viruses, and such. but it's the people who are producing these spams and popups and such, not the internet XD but still, let's blame it anyways XDD

I think child pornography, trojans and viruses, sacam, spams etc. are the worst part I like on Internet
