For those who do not know, Rapidshare is a file hosting service that lets you uploads files of any size and then lets you share them with others. It is simply a remote huge hard drive where you can save your file and access them later on. Most movies and softwares that you download from the Internet will be probably be hosted on a hosting site and most probably that would be famous Rapidshare.

There are two types of account at Rapidshare. One of them is the Premium account which provides you with great freedom and features but the problem is that you have to pay for it and it is not cheap. Premium accounts lets you download unlimited files and also allows you to download several files at the same time. Furthermore, the speed is faster than a free account. A great thing about it is that the files that you upload will NEVER get deleted! But if you have a free account then the file will be downloaded in 90 days.

A severe problem with Free account is that you cannot download files consecutively. You have to wait for around an hour to download again. This is a long time especially if you are downloading a movie that is split into several parts. So how do you deal with this problem? There is a great solution for DSL users. ALl you have to do is disconnect your DSL modem as soon as you are done downloading a file. Restart the modem. You will get a new IP address and that will allow you to download another file. This is a very cool trick and is used by several users. Try it yourself and I am sure you will love it.
