heavy metal is more hard than metal? Wonder why there is a people love it :?

But i'm admit, that personel of metal/heavymetal band is awesome skill of playing instrumen. I think the worst in the metal band is not the instrumen player, but the vocalist

I can't enjoy the metal music. It is so much collection of grawling, screaming. Also, it is noisy to hear. It's like it's breaking my eardrums.

On topic: I love Metal Music especially Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal and Power Metal. Actually, grawling, screaming and crawling is not necessary in Metal Music. The important of Metal Music is leading sound of a guitar just listen Old School Bands (like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Hammerfall, Sonata Arctica etc.) and recent Power Metal Bands.

Off Topic: Akira that you heard Metal Music are New School Band these are very exaggerated and overrated Heavy Metal because of growling, screaming and crawling. Only Death Metal and Black Metal is acceptable in growling, screaming and crawling.

Well, I'm pretty much on the other end of the spectrum from the rest of you, I am a true-blue lover of both hard rock and heavy metal and I mean that in every sense of the word. Not sure why so many think that this particular genre is all about "grawling, screaming and crawling" because, in all honesty, that assumption couldn't be further from the truth. Sure, "some" bands play that way (ie: dark metal, thrash metal, etc) but, when it comes to hard rock and heavy metal, most of the bands I listen to do not (I always understand what they are saying and I always understand the meaning "behind" their words, too). Personally, I think hard rock and heavy metal is far more "in-depth" (both musically and lyrics-wise) than any other form of music out there and that alone is one of the particular draws for me. In addition, and oh-so importantly "whew, I can't take my eyes off of any guy wearing tight pants, sporting long hair, tats and piercings who would make most scream and run the other way...hubba, hubba." HA HA.

Anyway, regardless of what anyone listens to, keep on enjoying it and have yourselves an awesome day!

I'm an old fart and admit it. I have no clue what the difference is between Heavy Metal, Thrash Metal, Death Metal and Power Metal. When I was younger I went to see Rush in concert (Geddy Lee really is that skinny) and had a Dio album kicking around. That was about the closest I came to heavy metal.

LOL @ Tara - as long as the pants are his own, that's okay.

I don't like it because it is just something like noise. I wanna relax.
