Joel Comm AdSense book, any good?

About a month ago I signed up to Joel Comm's newsletter. Since then I've been bombared with email from him pitching some eBook or course pretty much everyday. For me this has taken away some of his credibilty, but I've read that he is a bit of an AdSense guru.

I currently use AdSense and do ok, but nothing special. Is his book worth it, or is it just a load of common sense stuff about changing the colours of the ads etc...

Anyone'e firsthand opinion would be great.
