    Default blogspot to domain question

    i've seen this page that provides instruction how to custom a blogspot blog to a real domain. meaning transfering my blogspot to a domain.

    anyone tried this
    will blog retain its page rank after it?

    no idea about this method but if you used redirect 301 then you will not lost your page rank

    I would keep your page on blogspot because blogger blogs hold alot of authority in the search engines. If you were to move from blogspot to a domain I'm pretty sure you will lose your page rank. Just to be safe I would keep it on blogger if I were you.

    Yes, of course you will lose your recent pagerank as you change your domain name. You will start from zero again. But that's OK. It is always good to build your website reputation on your own domain name.

    Use 301 redirect..That method is also advised by Google to move domains without PR being affected

    as long as its using 301 redirect, which from the looks of things it does then no you wont lose it

    You will not lose pagerank. It might take anything up to 6 months but the pr will be reflected on the custom domain eventually.
