Cheap Domains - I use them! :)

There is a combination of hosting and really cheap domains that I've used lately that may spark your interest. You can buy domains for as little as 2.85 US/Year, and the hosting is 99 cents a month (good hosting). The hosting is 1000mb, PHP 5, MySql, etc. All that good stuff.

The two places I use are called:

Active-Domain registrar services, and MyDosty webhosting (look them up on Google, I can't post URL's yet)

My two websites use these services, and I just thought I would pass along the good info seeings it is ridiculously cheap hosting. By the way, you can your domain & hosting set up in 24-48 hours, the support is good on both ends.

Are these companies that have been around for a while? Do you need to buy both domains plus hosting to get such low prices? How long have you been using them for?

No, I bought both domains seperately, and I've only been using these services for less than a month.

How many email accounts do they give you? Mech was looking for some cheap ones in this thread but needs more than one email.

I don't think that these companies will stay long in the market. As far as my experience shows that most of them get scammed, I am always skeptical about sites which sells domains for less than 5$. Further very few people had really interested in them as many of them have their own scamming experience.

go daddy is the cheap domain and i always use it.

Iam using squarebrothers because iam ok with rates and very near by to my home :-), but heard of godaddy in many forum it should be good

I prefer namecheap coz it`s not only cheap but also it is Reliable for it`s uptime n upgrade packages.

whatthehell: any idea how long they've been around? $2 sounds pretty tempting but if they disappear all the sudden its not such good value anymore..
