Not a bad article, thanks for the resource... however In my opinion i would also add to the list that your name should be unique. For example: google.com is better than searchengine.com. Sure the "searchengine.com" will pull its rankings faster in the beginning however they will soon drop. having a unique easy to remember domain will benifit the sites serps better in the long haul in my opinion.

    Thanks!

I think point 10 "Picking a name out of frustration" was talking about me....I got so greedy while doing keyword research...I wanted to include all possible keywords to the domain and then before I know it I registered for a domain name which I really hate in second thought.

Thanks for sharing, it's amazing seeing how many of my clients choose completely irrelevant domain names which then forces them into advertising with PPC rather than standing a chance with the SEO side of things.

Im not sure the article really went into much depth about chosing domain names. i.e. "not too long" (relative to what you think long is) "too close for comfort" (relative to what you think is close, "easy to say" (again)

What about how Search Engines read domain names? How do you increase SEF
How will the maturity of a business affect the chosen domain names? There were so many other specific topics you could have gone into. Saying it must be easy to say is not really useful to anyone. Just an opinion
