Nice article. It's important to think first what's best name for your domain that contains also your keyword to target.

I think 12 years ago names like google.com yahoo.com youtube.com were all bad choices, hasn't stopped or slowed them down though has it pretty sure with all our websites combined we don't get 1/10th of the traffic any one of them gets, but it is important for niche sites to have a relevent url to their niche.

I suppose when you are choosing domain name you need to make sure that domain name is short and memorable. I suppose they are 2 main ideas which you should to follow while choosing your domain name.
