Thread: Brand Name in domain name

As a matter of general law, be aware that trademark infringement is based on similarity of names and whether or not consumers might be confused by the competing uses of it. If the trademark is a famous one, then special rights exist to prevent any other commercial use of the same or similar name, regardless of confusion.Web Hosting Services - FREE Domain Name - Freezone.co.uk

The holders of the brand name would be able to make a claim against you even if you won't be using the domain for commercial purposes, by saying that your use of it is an infringement on their brand identity.
It's worth it to use an alternate domain for your project, and avoid any future potential hassles.

If you are only promoting for a specific product/services, then it's good if you put the brand name in your domain name.
