    Default is 5 a good PageRank for Google?

    Well, about 4 months ago i started up these new forums and over the months i never really checked my page rank in google and today i found out my PageRank is 5..now i want to know is that good? and what does it mean exactly?

    I think that it very good for a 4 month site.

    Yep. A page rank of five is good. And when we come to think of that your site is so young, it is very good page rank. Some popular websites like www.zeeblo.com has suddenly gained the fifth page rank point after two or three years of popularity.

    Page rank 5 after 4 months. I don't think that happens too often the most I'd expect from a 4 month site is page rank 9 or 10.

    5 is typically pretty high for any small site that is relatively new.

    4 is attainable by most webmasters who are willing to look for backlinks, but PR 5 is actually really hard to get. Congratulations!

    PR5 for a relatively new website is remarkably good. Considering the average PageRank for a website of that age is PR3. It is now incrediably difficult to get anything above PR4 if you aren't promoting your site daily and getting good traffic and backlinks.

    @lilbballer27 - Yes, it is accurate. It calculates your PageRank by seeing how often it appears in a search of Google.
