There is a n update button at the top of each category with instructions on how to update information. We usually try and deal with updates as quickly as possible becuase it will often be a change of URL.

    Best tips are
ensure that the sites you offer really do fit the category and are unique content
Check the sites in the category and ensure that you are not offering already listed sites
Also look at the descriptions in listed sites and use the same style,
read the guidelines carefully, if you can't follow instructions about your submission you can't do that with guidelines for editors
Check to see that your spelling and grammar are good in the descriptions you offer
Be honest about any affiliations including if you are offering your own site
If your application seems to be so that you can simply get your own site listed it will be refused. We are not unhappy for editors to list their own sites, but they have to treat competitors equally or evn better.
Choose a category with about 50-100 sites INCLUDING any subcategories, tiny categories will give no chance to build and larger will be seen as too big for a new editor.
Best to choose a category from Regional section, like your home town,. it's a lot easier to be sure the sites belong and after getting the hang of editing you can internally apply for new and larger categories.
Good luck if you try again.
I am a DMOZ editor, but my opinions are mine they do not represent DMOZ staff or management.
