    Default adding images within images

i've been wondering about this for quite a while, so here goes.
I have a normal .gif image il call image1.gif and another gif with a smiley in it i'll call smiley.gif, i know there is a way to get smiley.gif into image1.gif but icant figure out how to do it with photoshop cs2 nor imageready. also doing it with ms paint is good for still images i want the smiley to be moving within image1.gif an example is this
what program could do this for me without me having to manually set each frame for the smiley.gif?

    thx in advance.

Its easy. Open Photoshop and make two layers. the first layer should contain the background and then layer two should contain foreground and then merge flatten. Next save it as the .gif. Do not save as a webtemplate, instead just click save and change the file type...it should work

Good tip, i didnt knew it!!! Its gonna work like 2 gifs together? Pretty cool!!! Now i might make my banners like that The bad thing is that GIF usually loose a lot of colors when i save on photoshop, can you give me a tip to stay the same? Because i've seen a lot of images that still have good quality and are animated gif.

Haha, my old school photoshop five does that by default apparently, but I never realized it was just a new layer. Thanks for the enlightenment! It will still work for animated images like that smiley.gif, right?

Great tip, it will be very useful. It should make for animated images, if it doesnt, just mess around until you find something that works. That is how I learn, by messing around with the computer and hope nothing gets spoilt from my curiosity and anyhow tweaking.:P
