Well, personally, I feel PHP is better, however, ASP is Microsoft, so it works best on Windows server 2003. You will have to install 200 plugins to make PHP work.

You know, I haven't read many opinions that give a reason why it's better other than 'I know it better' or something like that.
I tried ASP a few times, but it seemed pretyt hard compared to PHP, so I didn't really learn it, so I can't say which is better. However, I can say that learning PHP was much easier for me.

The point is I am new to PHP and ASP, but as I am getting knowledge about PHP first it is my opinion that PHP is better. I haven’t tried the ASP language and I feel that after understanding it will be easier to tell which one is easier.

I would say asp as a result of its Visual Studio .NET IDE. Despite what the opponents of point-and-click programming say, a good IDE will create coding a lot of, a lot of easier. It will even highlight syntax.

PHP and ASP.NET are the two mostly used computer programming languages used at current time. Necessary comparison with proper illustration is provided in this link.
