I find tabbed browsing extremely useful when visiting HostBidder.com. I can click today's posts and then right click each one to open in a new Tab. Then when I'm finished with a thread I close the tab and the next post is on my screen. I don't think it is quite so convenient in IE.

Thanks a whole lot for this m8. I am going to be using this for my site as well. 1 Question, say im using cPanel 9.0 and i just installed IPB 2.0.1 on it. Now my question comes, would i set the favicon the same up, or would i have to change it a litte bit. The index is the IPB forums, we dont have a homepage or anything. Thanks.

Internet Explorer unable to show the favicon beside the address, thats true and when i use firefox,it does show the favicon,,but i think favicon not really important for a website, maybe someone think that it looks more attractive with the favicon?

Note that you can also open tabs and close tabs by clicking the mouse's center roller.

very well said. you can also use axialis iconworkshop to make it easier. and with that software you could also import the desktop icons of your programs. but if you really want to make it easiest, you can use online favicon creator.

that's a good explanation for favicon. and hey bigslick, the site's great. just submit your image and voila, the favicon generator will turn it into favicon in an instant. you do not need to resize the image, the generator will be the one to scale it down if its over 16x16 pixel.
