Exclamation Downloaded Blender 3D, should I get the Manual

Yes, I got Blender. The program has so many buttons in it, I felt as if I just stepped into 23rd Century warfare. Should I shallow my pride and order the almost $50 manual or should I just though it out and go with the trial and error method?

Well, what you can always do (if you have some extra time at hand) is to poke around with it and save the money for the extra manual until you absolutely need it. So for example, if you don't have a deadline to meet with it, then play around with it for a few weeks or months, and if you find that you really really can't get a hang of it, then purchase the extra manual and learn from it.

Thanks for the input. Do you personally use Blender? I have no deadline so I will play with it.

Nope, but that's how I learn most of tools of the trade. I play around with it until I absolutely need help, then I refer to manual or books

I don't recommend buying this program since it's not very popular and you may not find a sufficient amount of tutorials for it. I recommend buying 3d Studio Max, Corel Bryce or Cinema 4D.. They might be much more expensive but buy something quality.

    Just my 2 cents.
