I think PHP will be used more in the future than ASP. Plus PHP seams to be easier and of course since it's free you can't beat that!

ASP; developed by Microsoft, so it's bad ... choose PHP.

Just because its developed by Microsoft doesn't mean its bad.
ASP is probably a bit old now, and the newer sites tend to be asp.net. This is based on teh vbasic, c++, and c# langauges included in the .net framework, a vast improvement in functions and flexibility over asp. bothe asp and asp.net were originally intended to run on Microsoft's IIS and PWS engines, included within Microsoft OS.

php is probably more widely used and has roots closer to other scripting, in particular javascript (it is NOT the same as javascript). php is not dependant upon the OS platform.

In modern terms both laanguages can provide similar results, its often a personal choice which server side programming language is the preference. Both languages have bugs, advantages and disadvantages.

PHP is almost completely based on the C programming language, not Javascript? Which is only a client-side scripting language.

And I agree with the advantages/disadvantages notion, but usually in these cases most people pick the more commonly used language. It's like saying that Yahoo's algorithms are just as good as Google's, it's just Google is much more vastly used.

ASP is more easy than PHP, but PHP provide more great result. By mastering PHP, i think you'll easily learn ASP. And also, mostly dynamic website now is using PHP than ASP
