Thread: How can I get my site's images to show up in Google Images?

  1. #1

Default How can I get my site's images to show up in Google Images?

Is there a way for me to get my site's images to appear in Google Image searches? Some of the comics on my site (http://cloudflash.net) do appear in the Google Image search, but I don't really understand why certain ones are indexed in Google Images and why certain ones aren't. The pages are just as easily accessible as each other on my site. But for some reason you can find a comic I made a month ago, but not a different one I made that month or a more recent one.

Are there any tips or tricks to getting Google to show the images in their image search results? I've given the comics alt tags and title tags, and I put their titles as keywords in the meta tags.

sadbleed, please don't spam my topic. You aren't going to get a free domain or money by spamming. When the admin/moderators see your posts, they'll take away your points and ban you.

I tried that, but it doesn't seem to be helping too much.

I'll try out Picasa 3 Software, thanks for telling me about it. Hopefully it will let me making my images easier to find on Google Image search.

Make sure you have alt="" and title="" inside of each image tag. You could try including them in an XML sitemap and pinging google with it.

first, put an alt="image name or whatever that describe the image" in your image link.
    here:
    <a href="http://link"><img src="imagelink" alt="Zantetsken's Avatar" border="0" /></a>
it's so that google know that the picture/image is about.

i know this by accident, when searching my name in google images, and showed the picture that i put the alt="..."

Must use Picasa and send it via Picasa.
Try and get the latest version which might be 4. Haven't updated in a long while

I already use title and alt tags on my images, but it doesn't seem to be doing enough. A lot of the images from my site that appear on Google Images don't even display the title/alt tags... It just displays a piece of the paragraph the images are included with. For example, if you search "Deneb Rhode", there's a picture of Crono that I drew and the text in Google Image's says "I had a hard time finding a picture", which is something I wrote at the top of the page that I put those images on.

I tried Picasa, but it just uploaded the picture to Google. I wouldn't get any traffic from that; it just shows the full picture on some Google page if you click it.
