Whats Your Thoughts On Video?

I have a website that seems to convert right at about the norm of 1% - 2% but I've been told by others that if I added video to it the conversions would be higher.

I'm fairly new to creating and adding video to websites so what has been your experiences with it? Has it helped very much?

Really depends on what videos you are going to have. For instance, I have a web/graphic design site and do some screencast tutorials. If you are putting video content just so your site looks more flashy I doubt it'd do you much good.

according to me please ealso consider the speed of ur site to load up [ means it shud not take tooo long bcoz of ur videos on homepage to the slow internet users(besides der r many wid ppl wid speed 128kbs or lower) ]
also a good alt can be using flash...

Sorry for the long delay in getting back to this subject. Holidays and all are kind of hectic around my house.

Anyway what I was thinking was having a short video that shows my software product in use. Say like a one or two minute YouTube clip. I wouldn't have it auto-start, I hate sites that do that, especially if they have the sound cranked up...lol

hi hoagie, sometimes and some people would prefer for watching video than just looking on still image, but in webmaking you should thinking about your site load, and bandwidth consumption, for your site it'll be more attractive but somepeople with slow bandwidth will go away from your site.
