Website Design: Which is better to use, Dreamweaver or Photoshop?

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to know, what is better to use for designing a website with high quality graphics, Dreamweaver or Photoshop?

Also, I am in need of either Dreamweaver or Photshop tutorials, which ever one is better.

Dreamweaver and Photoshop are two different things, mate.

Dreaweaver is used to code in different languages (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, XML and some more) while Photoshop is used to design things.

You need Photoshop to create the graphics and Dreamweaver to code the site.

Does that mean you are just going to do a website layout? Go for PS. If in case you have said developing a website, go for Dreamweaver.

Photoshop to design the graphics content on your website and Dreamweaver to put it together using codes

But I also heard that you can use dreamweaver to also make graphics. Is that true or not?

At my school, they are doing website design and they are using dreamweaver to both draw/create graphics AND code it. Is this true?

Um, I don't think you can create and modify graphics to dreamweaver, just do it with photoshop....

Yes, it's true. Haven't you heard of SVG graphics? :P

But other than SVG, no, it's not possible.

I use Photoshop to design stuffs and use Dreamweaver for HTML purpose.
