Best Blog site?

Recently, I tried www.blogthing.com but could not make it work. I am looking for a good blog host where I can make a blog in my language. And also can put some pictures on and can add some advertisements too.
I want free stuff. So, don't refer me to paid ones, pls. Thanks in advance.

Why not use blogger like the majority of blogs? (Actually I would prefer having wordpress on my own server, but you asked for something free)

just use livejournal.com or myspace.com? usually the best blogging communities are the largest ones to make more friends. then, more people will read your enteries and such =] i think myspace would be best for your description, but who knows. what language do you speak in?

I speak in Bangla. It is 4th largely spoken language (as a first language, Mandarin Chinese at the top of the list). Recently, in our country, people worked for Unicode compatibility and now I can make website in my own language. This is why I am trying to open a opinion based blog where people can make their comments.

Yeah, I would suggest you try http://blogger.com. Using other languages is allowed. And you can put your own advertisement since they support Google Adsense. You also have full control over your template.

You can also check out http://blogsome.com. I see some sites with advertisements on it. I don't know if they may have upgraded or you have full control of your themes also.

You can also try signing up to free hosts. You have to post though to earn that hosting. But it's all worth it. You can install your own blog without the need of a blog host.

I'd go for Blogger too. It's very user friendly and it enables you to fully personalize your site.

There's also MULTIPLY.COM. You not only have a blog, they also have their own tool for easy photo uploading with having to host it from other sites. You can do the same with music and videos.

WORDPRESS is good to. And you can get it for free. You can try wordpress.com or wordpress.org. Im not sure which one offers the free hosting but Im sure one of those links do.

LIVEJOURNAL is good to, although Im not a fan of their layouts. Their sites usually look "boxed" up.
