    Default PHP >> How to Download

    Hey, i need some help downloading/installing PHP. I've been on php.net but not sure what i need to download.
    Could someone please tell me which files to download?

    can you pls specify - do you want to install PHP on your desktop or on server? for development/testing or "production" purpose? and is it Windows (which one) or Linux? finally what http server do you use - is it Apache/IIS/Other?

    Installation depends on above...

    Ok, on my desktop, development/testing i presume (i want to use it for my site), Windows and finally i think i use Apache but not sure...how can you find out? Hope this is what you need to help me, thanks in advance! :smile2:

    Ok. In this case I guess the best and easy for You will be to download "EasyPHP". It is a complete package that contains Apache Server, mySQL server (along with the phpMyAdmin) and PHP itself. It has its own setup, and of course works with Windows (all versions).

    You can find it at: sourceforge.net/projects/quickeasyphp

    Yep, EasyPHP is a package that contains everything that helps you create a PHP environment on your own computer. I wrote an article about different packages that you can use, if you want some alternatives:

    Here is a really good site which contains PHP video tutorials including one on installing it.
