network timeout error

i am experiencing this network timeout to many websites i'm viewing. i'm suspecting, firefox update yesterday might be the cause.

are you also experiencing this while loggin in this forum?

Haven't noticed anything from my side pertaining to this forum however I have noticed a bunch of downtime on Dp..

i've been searching for a cure to this problem since this morning. my sisters laptop work fine and its only my desktop that dont.
i'm now saving all my files and all login data incase i'll decide to reinstall the os.
anybody knows whats going on? coz i'm wondering if clearing private data and all cokies might also be the cause.

if finally found the cure. my OS is windows 2000 and firefox 3 dont support windows 2000. and so i'm changing my browser back to firefox 2. ha! problem solved.

Hmm.. My Dee too has some problems with Firefox 3, everything was working fine until she had Firefox 2. She has Windows XP, dunno what's wrong with her PC.

Btw, isn't Windows 2000 pretty old? Why dun you consider an upgrade?

Maybe at that time, the website is under maintenance.

It may happen in time of site maintenance as well if the site fail to maintain sudden huge traffic. Browser may not be the reason.
