First of all, which software are you using for FTP transfer? what are its advantages and disadvantages? And finally which software would you suggest me to use ?

Personally I use and recommend CuteFTP. I like it more It comes with a free trial to test out if you want to give it a go.

    Thanks!

It depends on what I'm doing and where I am. If I'm developing web sites on dreamweaver I'll use the inbuilt FTP facility. Otherwise I would probably use CuteFTP (only because I've ben using it for years), but there are a mass of other FTP clients that offer the same facilities.

Well, I've used a few different FTP clients. I used to use Cute FTP and Smart FTP, but recently I've been using Filezilla. They are pretty much all the same, whatever works for you is best.

There are many good softwares, you can try FileZilla, It is open source software distributed free of charge under the terms of the GNU General Public License. Apart from it there is CuteFTP and SmartFTP, both are good.

I've tried a lot of different ftp clients over the years and FlashFXP is definitely my favourite. Simple but yet advanced configuration options, good bookmark management, supports site-to-site fxp and it doesnt require any windows registry entries
