Continually, as people seek out WordPress to research the possibility of using it to build porn video websites, it keeps getting funnier. WordPress used to be a nerdy, janky blogging script that teenage wannabe hackers used way back in 2005 to post code snippets.
Fast forward a good 5 years and you see things like doodmovies.com (porn tube) and RateMyCollege (college reviews) being run completely on the WordPress platform. No longer a small blogging script, now WordPress has also become a full on CMS system (also known as a content management system).
The WP package is obviously not just being used for nerdy blogs anymore. It has been made into review websites for colleges and web hosting companies, social communities based on Buddypress.org and even video tube websites believe it or not.
As media based sites become easier for newbie webmasters to build, the idea of free porn (and content in general) will continue to affect the industries regarding legality. Mostly its the old DMCA issue of takedown requests for videos that have been uploaded without permission. This will continue to change and upset, evolve rather, the online media industry (videos, music, mp3s, adult porn videos, etc) for example, as part of the so called Porn 2.0 trend according to Wikipedia.
Stay tuned for chapter 2 regarding WordPress and how you can tweak it many ways!
