Default Browser

Hi guys,
My default browser now is Internet Explorer. So when I click on a link, for example, from MSN messenger, Internet Explorer will pop up and open the page. Is there a way to set Mozilla Firefox to be my default browser? I am using Windows XP.

easy one !

open fire fox !

goto tools menu > options > check ( fire fox should check whether it is the default browser when started)

now start again ur firefox browser ... and make it default browser !!!

Hi dhruvd, thank you very much. I have set my default browser to Mozilla Firefox now. By the way, after opening the Option window, the check button is located at "General" section. I was searching for it just now, since once I open my "Option" window, it is at the Privacy tab. I think this is because that is where I am when I last close the window. Anyway, thank you.

Also, if you want to change the default browser for the entire windows entity. Go to Start then click on "Set Program Access and Defaults, and change the settings to Non-Windows or Custom.

Hi there,
Someone told me this method too at other forums. The second method will be very useful if you use other browsers and you need no to ask over and over again for every different browser you used.
