Default What Screen Resolution Do You Use

What screen resolution do you use on your PC?

Personally I use 800 x 600. I find that resolution easiest on the eyes.

    1024 x 768 ,

I like that resolution because it is small enough so you can fit a lot of stuff on the screen, but you can still read it

I just looked at my current settings for my computer, and it can go from:
    640 x 480 all the way up to 2048 x 1536

    But I still like 1024 x 768 the best

1024 X 768; I'd go higher, but I have folks who share the computer with me... and as we all know, as we age, smaller icons doesn't always mean more work space; instead, they mean a lot more squinting... So, for now, until I get a bigger monitor, I'm stuck with 1024X768.

i prefer 800*600..., but when i work with building websites or huge graphics i have to switch to higher ones, on which u hardly can ready text sometimes... objectively 1028*768 is better, but only if u have a 19" screen

Yep, I have a 19" screen, so I am able to do it with no problems. I used to run off of a 15" screen about 2 years ago :ermm:

Hmm, currently using a 15" lcd running at 1024 x 768. I find it quite okay to read somehow!! I guess that is why i dont use lower resolutions. I will like to go higher too if i have a better and bigger lcd.

hmmm, i think most of techies prefer 1024 x 768. I like that resolution. 800x600 is bad for work area and 1152 x 864 is too small chars to read.

when i get 29 inch monitor, i will switch to 1152 x 864 resolution. At present using LG 57M monitor with 1024 X 768 resolution.

I use 1024x768. but had to mod one of my .conf files in linux just to get it up to there.

i use 800x600 but that's only because my monitor is tiny. If I got a new monitor, i would definitly change it to 1024x768

Thanks everyone for your feedback, when considering site design issues I wondered if I was the only person using 800 x 600. I'm glad to see that others use this resolution and hence HostBidder.com will continue to be optimised for 800 x 600.
