I definitely prefer using XP over Vista.

Also, the Office 2007 platform is a tad annoying before you get used to it..

It’s not advisable to upgrade to a new operating system before the first few patches.

Vista is newer, more advanced, more stable and more secure than any previous version of Windows. But can your PC operate with Vista?

They need at least 1 GB of RAM installed, and this is the minimum!!

My opinion is to wait for a year or two to pass, and then switch to Vista. In the meantime, most software developers that their programs are still incompatible with Vista, will have their time to re-code them to make them work with this OS. Many serious bugs and holes (they DO exist, no matter how secure is this OS) will be discovered and patched, etcetera...

idk which i prefer more, so im gonna get both once i get meh new compy! :P
This comp is gonna be fast enough to run both, so i would choose xp over vista because xp runs older programs and runs faster and stuff. but vista is much sleeker, so i choose xp anyway :P

Vista runs very slowly partly because of It's Aero Interface system which takes up alot of graphic and memory power. Therefore, I recommend you stick with XP for the time being as it is much faster and more compatible with many of the Favourite programs we all need.

I currently say yes for XP, it can do everything I need and got quite stable if you use stable software and don't do funny stuff.. I am not even thinking of getting Vista this year or another year, but with time I know Vista will get better and more stable, but another Windows version will be released and topics like Vista or Vienna or how is the next windows called will be posted.. ;] as I always say, the same was with 98/2000 and XP

Vista is best ... but i ever hear that windows vista have bug, when we push the combination of keyboard more than twice ( i am forgot that combination of keyboard) windows explorer will emerge uncontrol. I hear this news from national tv. Any one know that bug? I also read the information of vista in the link : http://chris.pirillo.com/2006/05/28/...ista-mistakes/
