You may remember my OES TSETNOC SEO CONTEST 'kick-off' blog post here. Well, since then I've done very little.

After doing a quick sweep of the competition, it has come to my attention that this being my first SEO competition I've entered, I was being quite naive in thinking I could get an easy win!

Doing a bit of math, I've come to the decision is isn't worth me being active in seeking #1 position in Google for "OES TSETNOC" as the $1,000 doesn't sub the time I put in to it... which is my fault from being from the UK - the $/? conversion rate isn't good... well, not unless I was going on holiday to the States, then if IS good... but for income, nudda!

However, as I have put in some hours now for my site OES-TSETNOC.com, I'm not going to just bin it. I will do a max of 10 to 15 minutes a week (a quick article & a few links) as this way, 15 minutes a week, it doesn't waste my time, but it will be interesting to see where I land up with minimal input.

So, where do you think my site will end up on the day the competition closes? Page 3 I think... 2 at best.

I'm nearly coming up for my first week in running my oes tsetnoc website entry.

So far I've;

> Managed to build a site (heh) - using Wordpress, of course!

> Create a few articles about SEO, the competition and OES TSETNOC comp info.

> And build a couple of links.

Results so far?

Well, I've managed to;

> Get indexed by Google (only the homepage)

> Current ranking on page 5, but keeps popping on to page 4 every so often.
