2) Use a logo and not just plain text(will make your site more attractive)
3) I think is sidebar is somewhat "compressed" allow it more space.(give 50 more pxs width for a start)

Concept is nice... layout is fine...

You have a very long sidebar. To make your blog look better... either you should increase the width of the side, as one of the mate suggested above... or increase the number of posts displayed on your home page...

The adsense block you used is looking out of pace... you should use a banner according to me

Instead of using just text effect in the header, you should go for a full sized image like most of the site. It will look good on your blog.

The site layout looks good. The only changes that you should make are on the sidebars.
To make them look better increase the width and add scroll bar on the archive.
