I think you work hard for this site but first page size should small because it is take to much time to open. other work is good.

I don't have problem loading the site...everything is fine and you have good content.
The design is simple and it doesn't annoy the enjoyment of reader who visits your blog.

Yeah...if you give readers free contents, free wordpress theme or plugins for example (just an example), maybe it is more acceptable to put that paypal button. I'm thinking about why wouldn't I buy someone coffee if he/she has given me a good free useful source and the like.

I loved your blog especially the toolbar.... nice idea I must say!

The bad news is it takes a little more time to load the full blog than it should really take... but the good news is the basic content loads pretty fast. So, no complaints regarding that!
