Hello,
have u ever wanted to search for information and got landed into spam blogs which dont contain any useful information.

Spam blogs can be classified as ones which are:
1>Having only adsense content and no information.
2>LinkFarms
3>"Just for ads!" blogs
4>"Click my adsense" blogs
5>Contains non-relevant information and only advertising
etc..

In case you ever come to such a blog please report the site to
SPLOGSPOT

Report such useless spam blogs here and help make the web a much more better place for only proper-blogs. Also, this site will be useful in case you got a blog link in any website and if its present in the splogspot database then you can immediately report the admin of forums or communities where splogs are promoted and stop them. Dont worry, no spammers ans sploggers can give you -rep if you report a splog because splogspot isnt like other forums and they dont give any opportunity to sploggers anytime to do you any harm.

In other cases, spam blogs can also be artificially created weblog sites which the author uses to promote affiliated websites or to increase the search engine rankings of associated sites. This is the major problem of free blog hosts such as Google's Blogger service and it is estimated that one out of five blogs are actually splogs.

Aside from Splogspot which you mentioned above, there is also Splog Reporter which can be used to report splogs.

Actually I had just stumbled upon the site yesterday! So, i felt it good to share it but I like and appreciate the fact that there are others too who wanna contribute to my efforts.

oh yeah besides of point that you write down here, you should add some information, like what it looks like, because sometimes some blogs have much of links (you said it "linkfarm") but actually its a good blog. how about it?

Spam blogs? Does anybody cares about them. Atleast I don't.
Hey but I didn't know that spam blogs were called splogs.
Though, I did not understand the need for this, as unlike PTC-kind of sites, they'll not eat your money and time.
Still, I like the person's idea of such a site. A genuine one I had never heard about before. Credit goes to him for such a creative idea.
btw, RFC do own this site? If you don't do you think this is the right section? :P

Yes, I agree with divyun. I also don't think that this is the right section for this thread since rainforestcoder doesn't own the site. He's just sharing information on splogs and how to report them.

Maybe next time, rfc should create the thread in Computer & Security Support section or General Chat.

How about if I saw a blog that basically had Adsense FILLED on their site, their site was basically made for adsense. Their was like a few lines of writing, and the rest of the site was totally CHOCA BLOCK FILLED with adsense. Should I report him to adsense? The only problem is...I forgot the sites name
