Internet Marketing Mistakes - Marketers Not Taking Any Time For Themselves
by Published on 08-24-2009 01:29 PM
One mistake I see a lot of new marketers making is burnout. Marketers become so involved with the many aspects of internet marketing that they quickly become overwhelmed with so much to do and not enough time in a day to do it all.
Getting worn out will not help your business in the slightest. You will become tired, easily distracted and irritable to say the least. No business can run effectively under these conditions for long.
Nearly every business owner has at one time or another faced the battle of fatigue.
You can overcome this hurdle and keep your business running smoothly.
While you are likely to be the hardest working person in your business, you still have to take a little time for yourself if you want your new business to continue to run smoothly.
Any time you start a new business you are likely the one doing all the leg work, has all the knowledge of internal workings, and pretty much doing everything to run the business. However, with the odd chance that something might happen to you, such as becoming sick, who will run your business then.
Make sure you take some time for yourself. You need to keep your own strength up when you are a new business owner. This does not mean taking vacations just because you started a business, but you can take a day or a weekend off now and then.
Set aside at least one day where you will not work. Sunday for instance. Spend time fishing, playing with the dogs, or going out with the family. Find something to do other then work. This will help keep your mind and body rested.
When you are rested your brain can actually think better. When you get back to work on Monday you will have a fresh amount of brain power to put to work.
