An increase in income is what we all strive for I our business lives. It not only makes life a little easy but also marks a new level of success and growth. Waiting for raises from employers or switching jobs are usually the most common ways of increasing income.

Can these ways make you financially stable and wealthy?

Probably not. If you take notice of those in your circle of influence. How are they doing financially? Are they working a job waiting for that big break? Most are. Waiting for a increase in the amount of income is a process that takes a life time to build and with proper savings and investing some do manage to have a good retirement but most don't usually become wealthy.

Many people believe that having a good retirement is the final pay off for a job well done and it very well be, but this is a long way from being wealthy. Wealth is a life style a way of life, it is the person you will become as you acquire a fortune. Notice I didn't say earn a fortune.

You income when working for someone else is reflective of what an employer determines it to be. This is trading time for dollars and it is making a living.

To make a fortune you must work on yourself. Adding value by increasing knowledge through self improvement is the way to increase value in the market place. Reading books, attending seminars and building relationship with successful people are the stepping stones to wealth. They change the way you think. To increase your income you must first change the way you think.
