SEO Strategy - Assisted by Google Analytics

Google has updated the interface and added new features to Google Analytics. If you don't like the new interface, you can still use the old Google Analytics but only until July 18th. All that current users have to do, is go to their Google Analytics account and it will be automatically upgraded.
I thought every one on the planet had a Google account by now, but if not, you can follow the link at the end of this article, or type Google account sign up into Google. If you already have a Google account and want to sign up for Google Analytics, you will also find this link at the end of the article.
The old style interface tended to look crowded when you looked at the world map with all of your visitors shown as dots. Not you can drill down by continent, then by region, then by county.
There is a different large format line graph that shows total visitors day by day on a weekly basis. This looks like a handy snapshot of your web site traffic.
The source traffic breakdown is a little different and works better, especially if you have traffic from a large number of sources. The initial view is broken down into direct traffic, referring sites, and search engines. You can then drill down each section for more specific information on individual sources, such as EzineArticles, press releases, blogs, under referring traffic.
Also a new content overview gives better information on the behavior of visitors to your site. The report shows you what keywords were used to access your site, and a new overlay feature lets you go to your home page and click on the links to see how many visitors clicked on them.
Ok, that's about it for the new and improved Google Analytics. I hope you can use it effectively to improve your SEO Strategy
