    Different peoples have different opinion in this case. In my opinion 2-3% is enough...

    You also need to keep in mind that some of the directories have their own rules.
    Ezine for instance is only 3% I think. 3% is always what I stay with and all of my content and websites have been accepted.

    I agree, Its actually not much depend on the keywords.
    in my opinion 2-3% is enough.

    google and yahoo also vary
    mostly it lies between 2-6%
    density lie withn this range mostly.

    I think it should be 4% to 5% to get good results in both search engines google and yahoo.

    I have written a lot of articles... and my clients have varying requests.. others would ask for 1-3%
    other 3%... while other 3-8%....


    Im really not sure which works best as well

    many persons ask for 10% for higher rates.
