Do you meant by using redirecting script?
For me I would prefer to put them in iFrame tags instead of using meta refresh.
It just redirect your site but still showing the affliate links which people can easily altered it.

    I recommend htaccess 301 redirect

Create a .htaccess file if you do not have one then add this code to the file.

    Redirect 301 /product http://merchant.com/product.php?affiliateID=ThemeLib

Why must we hide our affiliate links? what's the risk?

P.s: I know how to do meta refresh but I want to know why we need to hide it?

Based on what I've read from blogs, you need to hide your affiliate links in order to avoid any stolen sales on your part. Simply because, it would be very easy to other affiliate marketers to change your own affiliate.
