Default How not to get BANNED by Adsense!

Ok, I have compiled a guide, based on various information gathered from the net, personal knowledge and highlighted some on the strong points from google's TOS.

Adsense Clix cannot guarantee that you wont get banned, but if you stick to these rules you should be fine!
(Only 1% - 2% of clix exchange users get banned, usually down to there CTR or Clicking there own ads!)

NEVER Click your own ads! This is the reason 90% of adsense users get banned. NEVER DO IT!

Don't change the adsense code! If google check your ads and they have been changed, you will get banned!

Don't encourage anyone to click your ads! Another very strong point google will ban you straight away for!

Don't place ads on prohibited pages! Adult, Racist, Gambling and many more - Read Google's TOS for full list.

Always respond to google! If they contact your, reply ASAP. It could save your account!

Don't use Popup's, Active X installations, Warez or Scripts! Again, a big NO NO from google!

Don't use more than one contextual ad campaign on one page! Don't have Yahoo and Google on the same page !

    Main points to consider

High or sudden rise in your Click Through Rate (CTR)

I believe this is the way that most people get banned from google. If your website's suddenly shoot from 50 impressions with 5 clicks (10%) to 100 impressions with 80 clicks (80%) you are going to get flagged and monitored. No one knows the exact amount that google will flag you for, but I and many believe its between 10% - 20% (1 - 2 clicks per 10 impressions)

So, how do you stop this? Well, there are 3 ways:

    1) Don't get greedy!. Its nice to see your adsense income rise every day, but remember, give it time. If you get to greedy to quick you will get banned! Assign no more than 50 hits per day, per website. If your sites are good, you can still expect around $30 - $50 a day from those sites at that rate.

    2) Use the HIT ALLOCATION feature! I have enabled the hit allocation module, which means you can allocate your hits across your website's. I have set it as a default of 50 hits per day. You can increase or lower this, but remember, if you increase it, you will need at least 500 - 700 impressions per day to keep your CTR down!

    2) Get traffic to your website! The easiest way to keep your CTR down is by getting traffic to your website. Simple traffic, nothing fancy. The more impressions your ads get, the lower your CTR will be.

Very very good tips!! You know, you're so right. 90% of users get banned because they click on their own ads. I mean some will try every way they can and still get banned. And then you see them everywhere complaining that Google banned with without proof.

There are others who click on their competitor's website many times, just to get him banned, without even realizing that Google has their IP and will ban them for doing it on purpose.

Yeah exactly! They don't realize that you can sleep better at night when you just follow and stick with the rules.

Ha ha, clicking your own ads. Of course that will get you banned. If it didn't, I would do nothing but click my own ads for an hour each day. That would make some nice cash. <_<

But really, all the stuff you listed makes sense. If you're not following all of those rules, you're probably getting greedy. Nice list though.

Good points to consider, I have seen many people complaining about being banned from Adsense, I guess most of the time it is because they click on their own ads, and also thanks for the tips. I am not using Google right now, but I guess I will soon.

Ok I have a question regarding this point

"Don't use more than one contextual ad campaign on one page! Don't have Yahoo and Google on the same page !"

I thought it was ok to have another ad campaign on the same page. I have seen many sites displaying both google and yahoo ads and some sites displaying google/yahoo and clicksor ads. I myself am using two ad campaign's on one page namely google and clicksor. Are you sure this is true? Please, if it is, I will remove the clicksor ads asap! I dont want to get banned. I am almost near to reaching a sum of 100 USD!

It really depends on Google mood. Jk. There is a possibilty of your site being deleted, as Google would not want a compeititor on your site. And also read this from Google Adsense website:

Can I place Google ads on the same page with other ads?

In some instances, you may place Google ads on the same page as other ads. However, this depends on the type of ads being displayed. More specifically, Google AdSense program policies do not permit Google ads to be published on the same web page as other contextually-targeted ads. In addition, our policy does not permit Google ads to be displayed on the same website as ads that mimic or attempt to be associated with Google ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

For publishers participating in AdSense for search, please note that we do not allow other search services or query-targeted ads to be displayed on the same site as AdSense for search.

Our intent with this policy is to be as fair to our advertisers as possible and to maintain the integrity of the AdWords and AdSense programs.
Hence, I would recommend you to just stick to one ad on your site. It is very dangerous and can get you banned easily.

    Great tips, thanks
    I have a CTR of 1% - 2% for about 100-150 impressions a day... I hope I'm safe
And by the way, I've seen in many places; Google and in your post and many other places, that we shouldn't ask anyone to click on the ads. I wonder how Google will figure out if we asked anyone to click our ads or not :wha: (nope, I don't ask anyone to click my ads anyway :smile2: )
Thanks for the valuable information :wave2:

They have sixth sense. :smile2: They can trace IPs, and ISPs even. If the IPs are consistent, it would raise some suspicion, thus, driving them to do some investigation. And when they see some "flows", you're dead. So it's better to stick to the rules. Don't ever say that you didn't KNOW it was wrong when you'll get banned. Cos it will just make the situation worse. It will just mean that you are not a serious customer by not READING THE RULES! So, the best way to not get banned by Adsesnse is to read their Terms and Conditions. You can sleep better at night that way. :biggrin2:

Yeah, those tips are really good, especially for beginners, because at the start, I remember I used to click on my own ads, because I was interested to what content they point and stuff, but after a while I just got used to them and don't click anymore.

But I have a question, what about if you, yourself will only browse your sites and test them and etc. the page impressions will rise and say you do it frequently ? Will you get banned or something ?
