Exclamation Tips To Dramatically Increase Your AdSense Revenue...

Yes, I know. Too many people have been talking about AdSense lately that it's no big deal anymore. I used to think so too. But I'm starting to change my mind and re-think that attitude ...

Yesterday, Suzie Dewey, who is an AdSense Publisher, posted a very interesting and very informative interview on one of Google's blogs. The interview was with a guy called Ivan Heneghan, who is a well-known AdSense Optimization specialist.

This interview covers many simple ways to increase the revenue you earn from you AdSense advertisement almost 70-fold. I know it sounds crazy, but remember, this is stated by a very accomplished specialist, reviewed by a member of the AdSense Publishing Support Staff, and is featured on an official Google blog. This is respectable, verifiable information .

Here's a link to that interview: Meet Ivan, the Optimiser!

I hope you enjoy it and make use of it.

aye, that was a nice find, thanks for sharing it with us, Transcendum!

i was also wondering about the 1700 $ per day... that means 51,000$ each month? it should be either hell popular site with millions of visitors daily, or that guy does adsense optimization as a paid service, and this is a nice way to advertise himself, because he gives more or less same optimization tips as google.

he recommends wide and big ads and talks about their advantage over the typical banners (468*60), but the thing is, not everyone would want the ads to overrule the site and design... huge and dominating ads often give the site a rather cheesy look. well, just my opinion, of course it depends on how u present it.

he also spoke about the use of ad units, but i wonder, does one get paid for a click on ad units, or are u only getting paid if the person clicked on the ad unit and then clicked on one of the sponsored links? i mean, does a mere click on one of the words brings u anything?

anyway, i enjoyed reading it, now i know that for some ppl, even 10$ is measly hmy:

Yeah I think you're right, Lorelei; it can't be that common to make $1700/day. Perhaps the Website in question IS really extremely popular. Perhaps that number is an exaggeration. But honestly, from my reading about AdSense, I know for a fact the guy has a point :smile2:.

Yes, I was just talking to someone about this exact point. Some Webmasters are too greedy - and too lazy to learn - to actually strike a balance between their visitors' benefit and their own benefit. But that does not mean we should consider everything those Webmasters do wrong.

I mean, sure, they make a huge mistake by focusing too much - sometimes solely - on the ads and forget about content. But I believe the best way to fix this is by spreading the word about the best balance between the two opposites, ads and content.

    Wouldn't you agree? :smile2:

And as for your questions, Lorelei, here are two great Websites that tell almost everything about AdSense in great detail. The first Website is actually easier and more user-friendly, but the second one is for the more technically-inclined. I hope you find them useful. Good luck, everyone! :smile2:

It's a little bit off exaggeration. I think that although it may be possible to increase earnings 10 times in an istant I honestly don't think its 1700 times!

But still it's an excellent article!

Excellent Article...but i still don't understand the whole blending thing. What does it mean by blending the colors? Does is mean make it look like everything else on your site, or does it mean make it pop out like a sore thumb?

    It's like this, sartajc:

when you register at Google, you get to customize the colours of your AdSense boxes. So you can choose the colours you want to match the theme and visual style of your Website.

Honestly, it's hardly a perfect match, because the AdSense colours are basic and limited. But at least you won't be stuck with a yellow box on your bright red background for example. :smile2:.

That artical was very interesting. I don't think you will be making that must money unless your website gets lots o traffic. I also think the link units idea is pretty cool, but like Lorelei I am unsure to whether you actually get paid for one click on these, or if your guests actually have to follow them through.

I like the ad units because they can appear to be one of your own links.

    Default Update #01

    Hello everyone,

Ok, here's an update to this thread :smile2:...

Google has just published another case-study for their AdSense program. This time, it's about GPSWorld.com, which is a Website for GPS (global positioning satellite) users ranging from the military to consumers who are outdoors enthusiasts. The site averages 430,000 page views and approximately 115,000 unique visitors per month. Yes, it IS a big company :smile2:.

So now, Troy Peterson, Web Operations Manager of GPSWorld.com, announces that the company experienced a 100% increase in their AdSense ad revenue by simply optimizing the placement and format changes of AdSense's ad units and boxes.

My point here is: perhaps Ivan (take a look at the first post in the thread) was exaggarating. But his methods are valid and they work. It'd be a bad idea if we let the exaggaration stop us from realizing that and putting it to our own advantage :smile2:.

Anyway, for those of you who are interested, here's a link to the GPSWorld.com's case-study: Spotlight on GPSWorld.com!
