Thread: An Adsense Alternative Startup

  1. #1

    Default An Adsense Alternative Startup

A ready to go web directory script that installs into your own page template and includes sharing links and management with a growing network of other quality web directories.

Old web surfers never die, their font just gets bigger.

BungeeBones is a unique web directory script, installable on unlimited number of websites with distributable code that enables the web traffic from all the installations to be pooled and recirculated.

Web surfing has been deemed the safest activity on the planet. They all go on to something else so recycle them to others with this new, unique script installed on your website. It will all come back to you many times over.

Also, this is an income producing web directory that operates as an Adsense alternative. The larger traffic numbers made available by pooling it gives everyone the opportunity to market that traffic from each install.

Check it out at BungeeBones "Distributed" Web Directory

Thats really a very good idea as sounds good but the reality we can come after using that.

Can you share some reviews posted over the net on other websites, not the testimonials of your site, so that I may know more about the script offering, it's functionality and features and how it would be helpful to me. I would surely analyse your script once.

    Hi Smith,

As far as I know, there have not been any reviews done other than testimonials.

As to functionality and features, the system's capacity to generate web traffic has been demonstrated. There are a couple of ways this can be seen. One: when you add a link there is an iframe titled "Stats at a glance". It reports the number of queries that came in to that category for various time periods (eg. last 24 hrs, last week, last month, all time) from all the installations. Those are queries that came in from ALL the installed directories. The other report is found in a directory of the site (subscription_sites) that lists the installation locations and the amount of queries that they have each contributed since their installation. The basic goal of that report page is to demonstrate the way the script aggregates web traffic. The main points I am trying to make is not so much about the traffic numbers but rather the accumulating capacity of the software. The more that use and install the web directory the higher the numbers.

Since you are a real estate related site in the last 30 days all the installations have sent in 438 queries requesting the links from the real estate category. How many "clicks" that could result in could be as high as 20 clicks per query (since there are 20 links displayed) but from your perspective as an advertiser you are only interested in the one click per query that would go to your website. So you would have a possibility of getting 438 clicks max.

Now, let me ask you to change perspective from that of a potential advertiser (as in you adding your link to advertise it and to whom the above presentation was designed for) to an advertising salesman's perspective. IF you too were to install the web directory on your site then you get to offer web traffic "for sale" to other webmasters and can use the aggregated stats from all the other sites too. That is a much easier "sell" than if you just have the stats from your one, single website. That is a definite benefit.

Also, since you also sell software you should appreciate that we are basically giving our script AND our management away in exchange for the POSSIBILITY that a site will send in enough traffic to generate income. We don't know that, of course, but it really doesn't matter to us because we only license the script on "real" websites with legitimate content. Therefore, we feel safe presuming a certain base level of web traffic will be coming in as a type of payment to us for the use of the software. So part of the benefit to you of is that you get the software on a website (absolutely free) and can provide your website visitors a quality web directory without the labor and hassle of maintaining it.

There is nothing like adsense but if you are banned from adsense then you can try for adbrite its a really cool one

Just FYI I wasn't banned by Adsense. I just see many situations and types of websites where adding banners or links on the side of your own content just doesn't make sense. That is a major difference between my system and Adsense and the one you recommend (Adbrite).

Adbrite looks interesting. The traffic stats on the sites hosting my link are really irrelevant though, since I would be paying per click. Being able to choose them would probably help me get better quality clicks and increase my ROI.

I fail to see how giving Google (or any other search engine) what they are looking for is "black hat". You might find a new patent (Google patent 7,814,085) interesting as it talks about a new Google patent it uses to help categorize links. Here is its abstract ...

    Abstract
A system and method for scoring documents is described. One or more documents are identified responsive to a search criteria. A text match score indicating a quality of match of the identified documents is determined. A category match score is determined over categories. A document-categories score is determined indicating a quality of match between an identified document and a plurality of categories. A search criteria-categories score is determined indicating a quality of match between the search criteria and the categories. An overall score is determined based on the text match score and the category match score.

Since categorizing links is exactly what BungeeBones does and web directories (such as DMOZ) have a long history of being an asset to search engines Idon't see it any where near being "black hat". DMOZ, with one the the best track records as far as search engine favorability goes, offers its database of links and categories freely. In fact, on the DMOZ site's "help" page it lists "Google, AOL/Netscape, Lycos, and hundreds more" under their link "Sites Using ODP Data ". That results in tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of duplicate copies of the data (categories and links) on as many websites and that is no where near "black hat" either. The download of links is so large, in fact, you need special software to parse the data as things like Excel can't handle it.

But so far BungeeBones has been in use for quite some time by some quality SEO outfits with excellent results and I doubt it is because we've been able to spoof or avoid detection by Google. We all know THEY know everything :-) and I'm not that clever.
